What is a blessing?

A popular question among atheists and even believers is, “Why do bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people?”

The truth is that as humans, we tend to have a different opinion on what blessings are than God does.

A good thing is something that brings us closer to God, while a bad thing is something that takes us away from him.

So while a loved one passing may seem like a terrible thing, if you seek God thru that time then it was a blessing. The same goes if you receive a large sum of money, if that draws you away from God and even towards negative temptations, then it is evil.

At the end of the day, a relationship with God is the greatest blessing we could ask for.
